Waste Connections US Inc. is an American integrated waste services company that provides waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Through its R360 Environmental Solutions subsidiary, the Company is also a leading provider of non-hazardous oilfield waste treatment, recovery and disposal services in several of the most active natural resource producing areas in the United States, including the Permian, Bakken and Eagle Ford Basins. The Company serves more than two million residential, commercial, industrial and exploration and production customers from a network of operations in 32 states. Waste Connections also provides intermodal services for the movement of cargo and solid waste containers in the Pacific Northwest.

History
The company was founded in 1997, by a dedicated group of professionals in Washington and Idaho with industry related experience. Waste Connections, Inc. expanded very quickly; within about a year of its founding the company decided to go public, launching its IPO in May 1998. The company then slowly expanded into California and the western United States and now has operations in 32 of the 50 U.S states. In December 2011, the company announced that it would be moving its headquarters from Folsom, CA to The Woodlands, Texas, a suburb of Houston. Chief Executive Officer, Ron Mittelstaedt, cited California's high taxes and dysfunctional legislature as key reasons for the move.[1]
